Stepping outside . . .

In the studio
it's been a day of no movement -
an inner silence.
Finally I walk out the door,
tromping through grainy snow,
into the back woods.

Through the magic of your heart to ink we are linked to travel together on this path...though you would not see my footprints at your side, know that I was there and thank you deeply for this journey.

So moved I am by this. The connection pierces my heart and I take that walk in a land of snow known so well. Your lines, brush strokes, and color evoke timelessness. And oh, that ache.

Thank you Barbara,

Love, Paulette

Fantastic! Calligraphy meets the blogosphere. Worlds connect! Digital simplicity! Happy hybrid! The old and new become something yet greater! I wonder if there is a simple "widget" you might add that would allow your readers to do some kind of brushwork/calligraphy online and be able to leave you the images they come up with.

I often remember the "ancestral tree" pointing out that we constantly move forward into an open field of virgin snow; and looking back we see that every step of our path leads to this present moment. I am very grateful to be walking with you again.
