End of the Season

Most of the leaves have fallen down -
or been pushed off as one scientist put it recently,
by the chemical coursing through the branches.

Fallen down feels gentler.

I pause -
step away from my windy life,
unplug the phone,
to paint these dying leaves. . .

  1. Your paintbrushed words and images speak to my soul and remind me to tune into to this season of the heart.

  2. Lovely. Every fall, one kind of leaf seems most vivid. I haven't found it yet, but I paint it when it appears.

  3. So delicate and loving is your touch. I feel at home with you just looking at your words and the beautiful paintings. Leaves are something close to my heart. They work so hard for their trees, and as a result we get to experience their gifts of beauty.
    Thank you for your vision!
