    In the "language of flowers," the gift of a yellow Rose has a different meaning from the gift of a red one, and barberry stands for spite. Your barberry lives in a much more positive environment.

    Whoa - barberry for spite - that makes sense. It was a challenging moment to take in that fierce plant determination - then the arrival of those lively bugs opened it all up and softened things!
