Just emerging now
from the OPEN EYES / MOVING IN SPACE Arts Retreat
at the Sky Lake Lodge Meditation Center.
Each morning we had three hours of solo creative time
to explore, dream, ponder . . .
After wandering in circles for a couple of days
I finally made it back into the sketchbook
and had a worthwhile conversation
with line and brush - vine and flower . . .
I love your relationship with the nasturtium vine and how your hand and pencil "relax in the journey." Thanks for this beautiful offering.

Way to meander, Barbara. My true path meanders. My challenge is to trust that, and to travel patiently.
ReplyDeletethanks for your lovely musings -
ReplyDeletehere is a John Daido Loori quote that I love -
"Trust in our spiritual practice - trust in our creative process - and most importantly trust in ourselves. If any of these are missing the whole structure collapses and we retreat into certainty. So we trust, even if we can't explain or justify why we do what we do.
Lovely sketches.
